 As the month of January strikes, the entire Vigan City is getting busy on preparing for the City’s Feast. Every year, the Bigueños celebrate the festival of San Pablo/Saint Paul, their Saint Patron. During the city’s festival week, people from vigan will hold a different kind of events like the carnavals, trade fairs, parades, and street dancing. Also, a lot of tourist visits this town to celebrate the fiesta together with the Bigueños. During the festival week, I happen to visit and walk around in Calle Crisologo together with my best friend and bought something for the both of us. We watched the logganisa festival street dancing. This event is coordinated to the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle and also, this is to represent the culture, the foods and the traditions of this beloved city. “Viva Vigan, Viva San Pablo” I also get the chance to witness the fiesta’s grand parade after 2 years of being unable to witness it.   As I enter the second quarter, I already know that I will face a lot of challenges again. Knowing that I am aiming for a title that I have been trying to reach last quarter but didn’t get it. I became a someone who has a high expectations and someone who seek more on academic validation. These past few months, we were given a lot of activities, assignments, projects and quizzes. I strived so hard so that I will be satisfied and not to feel disappointment. I also doubled my efforts and determination. Eventhough it is hard, I still managed to balance everything, from school works and extra curriculum activities to my personal and social life.  As I look back, I realize that while I was spending my time into socials and something about my personal life, there will always something like my school works or a responsibilities that’s waiting for me.  Life in 2022 is like a roller coaster ride, it gives us a lot of happiness, great adventures, pressures, disappointments, fun, excitements, failures and succes. We spent a year creating a good and bad memories. A good memories that we will always remember and a bad memorithat will only remain in the past. For me, celebrating New Year is more fun than celebrating christmas. It was more magical than the last 2 years celebrating New year. During the New Year’s Eve, some kids were playing, running around and some are riding theirs bicycles holding their torotots. Celebrating christmas this year is much different than the past few years. There’s a lot of changes since the pandemic happened. The excitement and happiness we felt before isn’t same as how we feel this christmas. Before, I used to go with my friends and do caroling around our neighbors to have some money and save it up for our wants. But now, I don’t even go anywhere outside our house, all I do all day was to lay down in bed and talk with friends until the day ends. A week before christmas, we had a program in our school that gives us students a chance to celebrate christmas with our classmates before the year ends. We did had a lot of fun, from playing some games, jamming, dancing, awarding, eating snacks until the time of exchanging our gifts and leaving the campus with a smiles on our faces.
