Wondering if we could ever make a change or is there anything we can do to make a difference. However, change begins within ourselves.   In every year, we celebrate mothers day to appreciate the love and sacrifices that our mothers gave to us. They are the light of every houses. The one who gave birth and raise us through their blood and tears. But to think of it, not every mother can be a parent to their child/children.  Everyone can be a mother. An eldest daughter can be a mother because of experiencing motherhood at an early age. Someone who is not related to us can be also our mother, because they can give us the love and care like how mothers care for their child. In May 14, 2023, Mother’s day was celebrated. I greeted my mother a happy mothers day and gave her a hug. Although, she isn’t my real mother or my biological mother, she was the one who stood up there for me and raise me like her own child.   On May 1, ever Filipino celebrates Labor Day to recognize and acknowledge every workers hard work. This day, ever Filipino workers are honored to celebrate their day. Labor day is a regular holiday. In tagalog, it is known as “Araw ng mga Manggagawa” and it was first celebrated in the Philippines in the year 1903. The holiday is celebrated to remember or to recognize the workers sacrifices and struggles while working. It also pays a tribute to the contributions and achievements of ever filipino workers. Every workers such as OFWs, seamans, teachers, businessman, carpenters, and all kinds of workers should be given a rights and should be acknowledged. Also, government atleast should increase their sallary. Overall, Labor’s Day is celebrated as we acknowledge, recognize, appreciate those Filipino workers.
