Not just a Woman

March of every year is declared as National Women’s Month. The 2023-2028 theme for the national women’s month is entitled “We for gender equality and inclusive society.” In which the “WE” stands for “WOMEN and Everyone” emphasizing the role of women themselves and everyone in the pursuit of gender equality.

In the Philippines, the Women’s Month Celebration has since served as a venue to highlight women’s achievements and discuss continuing and emerging women’s empowerment and gender equality issues and concerns, challenges, and commitments. 

This is a call not only for a gender-responsive society but an inclusive one. A society that overrides differences in SOGIE, class, ability, generation, status, and culture; a society where every individual, each with rights and responsibilities, has an active role to play.

This celebration focuses on empowering women. It gives every women the right on everything. It is to give women the equal rights and equal treatments like how the society treat men. Fight for women’s right. Remember that you are a woman, not “just” a woman.

The Impact of the Pandemic to the life of the Students

My Pandemic Life                  On march 2020, they announced that we will be having a 2 weeks break because of some unknown virus. Myself was filled with happiness and excitement  that time because I can finally rest from academic stress. But then, things suddenly turned upside down. No one expected that the virus will circulate around the world, no one expected that it would become a pandemic. The 2 weeks became 2 years, causing the world to shut down. Schools were closed, classes were suspended, making us continue learning through online and modular.               I wa so mad at the virus and even the whole situation.
